Hey Reader,
What if you knew exactly what to do and were confident in your eating habits? What if meal planning was a breeze?
Most clients I work with report feeling overwhelmed and/ or confused regarding meal planning and navigating social events while trying to stay on course with their nutrition goals.
We are taught that eating nutritious foods is complicated, expensive, and unsustainable. New Flash...... none of this is true.
Making Nutrition a Priority
The first thing to think about is whether or not you are prioritizing nourishment.
If you want to look good and feel energized, you need to provide your body with nutrients and let go of your focus on calories.
You need three key nutrients to feel your best: fiber-rich carbohydrates, protein, and fats.
Most women don't truly understand nutrition as well as they think. So, let's explore this a bit more.
Understanding Nutrition Basics
For years, we have been brainwashed into focusing on calorie-reduction diets while giving little to no consideration to food quality or our nutrient needs.
This linear thinking is, quite frankly, preposterous and completely disregards the complex systems that keep us alive and functioning. These body systems depend on nutrients, not calories.
You will cover most of your nutrient needs overall if you focus on getting enough of the three macronutrients—fats, protein, and fiber-rich carbs.

Meal prepping 101
Meal prepping doesn't have to be complicated. I have a complete guide to help you organize and create balanced meals in minutes.
Pick a protein like meat, a non-starchy vegetable like broccoli, and a fibrous carb like a baked potato. Cook multiple servings ahead of time, combine them at meals, and reheat when you're ready.

Mindset
There's no doubt to me that most of you reading this feel overwhelmed. Here are the facts-
Average time spent watching TV - 3 hours per day
Average screen time - 8 hours per day
Average time spent on meal preparation- 56 minutes per day
Why is nourishing your body lowest on the list? Most clients tell me they aren't sure why they don't prioritze nutrition over mindless scrolling or other tasks.
Here are some tips to help you shift your mindset:
- Your health is everything. Once it's gone, everything and everyone in your life will be impacted.
- Make a list of all the people in your life who want you to prioritize your health. If you can't do it for yourself, do it for the people on the list.
- Write a list of what would be different if you improved your health. How would it look, and feel? Start acting like that version of you and doing things that you know will help you get there. Ask yourself before eating, " will this help me feel better, or create more problems?" Eat foods that promote wellness.
- Stop obsession over calories! Focus on eating whole foods first. pay attention to the "body feel" foods provide. Eat more of the foods that make you feel energized.
